MOD POST: NOVEMBER EVENTS + ANNOUNCEMENTS + POLICY REMINDERS

Holy crap, guys, I can't believe it's November already! This is Faith here with a lot to give you, before we get into your events for the month, we have some big things to announce including a policy change, so please bear with me through it all.

First, I want to give a huge round of applause to our NPC team. Last month's festival was extra amounts of crazy in an effort to give something light-hearted after Bad Moon Rising's drama, and our NPC team took up the ridiculous task we set them in having all of them out and about, going above and beyond what we the mod team could've hoped for in our helpers. They clocked in over two-thousand of the six-thousand comments in the first event log, and that's not including any tag-outs they might've done elsewhere. You guys are amazing and we really can't thank you enough for what you do for us.

And of course, we are so thrilled with the turnout from the players in that event, so thank you guys for being awesome and having so much fun with our silly nonsense. We hope you enjoyed it while it lasted; we will not do anything that impossibly large-scale again. Haha

Second up are some brand new info pages! We noticed some confusion over varying things within the game and kind of wanted to clear that up along with giving out new world-building information, so I've spent the past week or so whipping together four new pages for you guys:
  • On the OOC spectrum, we have Meet the Mods, an info page to introduce new players and old players that might not be terribly familiar with us to your mod team! This is just to give you guys a better idea of who we are and what we do inside the game to help ease that space between mod and player, because we are just players at the end of the day and we want to have a good time with you all.
  • On the IC spectrum, we have the other three pages. These all focus on the Giants and what exactly they are so that when we throw them at you, you can have a better idea of what you're dealing with. Information on these pages is available ICly in the library, but there are certain pages and sections that are not available ICly so please be very careful when you utilise this in game. If you're ever unsure, ask! We're more than happy to help you out.
    1. Meet the Frost Giants; the guide to Thiazi and her minions.
    2. Meet the Fire Giants; the guide to Surt and his minions.
    3. Meet the Earth Giants; brand new information on a brand new aspect to Yggdrasil's backstory. Most of this page is not available ICly. We just wanted to give it to you guys to give you a better understanding of this crazy world you've been playing in.
    • You'll notice the sections on the King and Queens of the Giants are left empty! This information will be filled in at a later date.
    • Remember that the examples of the Giants listed on these pages aren't the only ones that exist, they're just ideas to help you guys along in figuring out what kind of Giants are possible!
We hope these pages help you out a little bit guys. As always, we're available by any of the methods on the Mod Contact Page if you ever have any questions about anything at all.

Third, last month's Holes event introduced the Plague of Plenty! These bards, orphans, and beggars from the Assassin Creed universe have since taken up residence as Asgardian natives, which has brought with them a small upsurge in the Grey Sickness as reflected on the scales over here. Thanks to Jaina for the suggestion! Remember that we will be introducing a new item or feature from canon worlds every month, so submit your canon features in the appropriate comment section below and track the !holes tag for more information on these plots!

Fourth and perhaps most important for this rundown's announcements is a policy reminder regarding potentially triggering player plots such as rape/abuse/underaged sex/etc. If you are uncomfortable reading about these topics, please skip ahead to the event rundown here.

As a rule, we will not police the content of threads or restrict players from carrying out whatever plots they see fit. Our rule for this is and always has been that anything goes, as long as heavier material is kept under cuts, in comm-locked posts, and labelled appropriately. However, due to a number of reports of discomfort involving being exposed to these plots, we want to remind people to be mindful of the content of their plots and where they are putting it into play. Not everyone is comfortable with this material and as such, we ask that you respect their wishes in being left out of plots of this nature.

For this, we are highly recommending the use of opt-out posts. It is much easier for you, as the one driving your plots, to tell others what you're doing and give them the opportunity to request not to be involved than it is for them to approach you after the matter of the fact. We want you guys to be able to play out whatever plots you see fit, but in order to maintain that freedom, we also need you to be respectful and courteous to others. Give forewarning before you suspect the plot may come into play, and give people an opportunity to opt-out of it. If someone requests to opt out of a plot, you must do your best not to tag them with anything involving that plot, even if it stretches the IC boundary of whom your character would talk to about it. Please play respectfully and responsibly together.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please contact us privately by any of the methods on the Mod Contact Page so that we can speak with you about it. Our goal has always been to make Asgard Eventide a safe and fun environment for all, and we can only accomplish that with your cooperation. Thank you for your understanding!

Now on to the fun stuff. Remember that Activity Check is open until November 2 and just for kicks, we have an IC secrets meme over here if you want to submit silly stuff from your characters. As always, your schedule for the month can be found here!

Because the last two months have been jam-packed crazy, this month is going to give a wide berth to kind of settle down and breathe before we jump into our plot event. It's kind of a big one, which I do apologise for sob but it's the build-up to our Arc 3 climax! Very exciting business, so let's get right down to it.

On Days 352 and 353 ( Nov. 5-8 ), the city is going to come to a full stop. All NPC businesses ( except the hospital for obvious reasons ) will be closing operation to do some community service. Using the money raised from Rise Kujikawa's date auction last month and generous donations from the gods, Asgard will be rebuilding itself for these two days.

All natives, maids, guards, and even those new beggars from last month's Holes event, will be gathering together to fix the things that've been broken. They'll be cleaning up trash, repairing property damage, painting over graffiti, any sort of general community service clean up that you think the city might need right now. Representatives from the Bank of Dvalin will be speaking to any business owners who need help rebuilding their businesses and NPC natives will come in to help start the process immediately. Travellers are welcome and encouraged to help out ( considering they broke everything in the first place, but no one's saying that except maybe Baldr ). This is basically just a short and sweet event to relax and give back to the city for a couple days!

Before we break it all over again. November is Bad Decision Month!

As previously stated, this event is the buildup to Arc 3's finale, which will take place in the first week of December, so this is going to be messy and confusing - intentionally! As Surt's attempt at destroying the city with some shoddy magic failed horribly and Thiazi is incensed by an assassination attempt gone terribly wrong from a few Travellers ( information on that to come; this is Bad Decision #1 ), the two Giants are now both jockeying for the lead position as Big Bad of Ragnarok. Their methods of attack are vastly different and compliment each other well when combined together, but when pitted against each other?

Well. Let's see what happens.

On Day 359 ( Nov. 19/20 ), ravens will be seen in random places around the city, generally circling above certain areas before diving off to other parts of the city. This will be mostly innocuous, but if anyone gets particularly ornery and decides to shoot one of them down from the sky, they'll notice the birds shatter upon impact, turning into ice that melts away quickly. Later that nights the sun goes down, a blue light can be seen in the far off distance to the south of the city like a spotlight shooting into the clouds. There's no saying whether the two events are directly correlated, but considering that Thrymheim is to the south, it may be best to take these things as omens of ill-tidings.

In fact, by the morning of Day 360 ( Nov. 21 ), things will very obviously be awry. Travellers will wake to find the city much less populated than it was the night before as other Travellers are nowhere to be found. Did they all go home at once overnight? Did they all go grey? Those left behind in the city will have no answers - and those that vanished won't either.

Players that choose to disappear from Asgard on this day will have their character(s) wake up in a mirror!verse of Asgard. They will be in their own beds, in their own rooms, in an exact replica of the city, but venturing outside to the streets will show major differences between their version of Asgard and this one. Of note, they will find these major things:
  • The Grey Sickness is inverted. All areas that have regained colour in the real Asgard will be grey, and all remaining grey areas will be coloured. Following the scales here, that means that most of the mirror!verse is grey.
  • The bracelets do not work. Travellers in the mirror!verse cannot contact those either inside or outside of the mirror!verse. They are completely cut off from the network.
These are the obvious differences. Others will become apparent as people interact with each other, and these ones get stranger:
  • The language spell is gone. The blanket spell the gods use to make everyone speak Asgardian is no longer in place, and so Travellers are left to communicate in their own tongues. Try to get creative to overcome that language barrier!
  • Hidden things want to be revealed. This will manifest like a compulsion to spill your character's secrets or even a physical representation of those things: for example, if someone is a demon in their canon but has a human form in Asgard and has not been telling people they are a demon, they will appear as a demon in the mirror!verse. Other secrets or lies can be revealed, but characters are welcome to try and fight the compulsion.
  • God house powers are gone and canon abilities are restored. We are trusting you guys with this one not to abuse this opportunity. Please remember to be respectful of each other and try to play fairly. All use of canon abilities can only happen in the mirror!verse and cannot affect anything in the real Asgard.
As you can see, the mirror!verse is drastically different from reality, and this is for a reason! Thiazi is trying to undermine the Travellers' sense of unity by emphasising their differences and the fact that they don't belong together, and they most certainly don't belong with the gods. By shoving them together and telling them to survive? ( This is Bad Decision #2. ) Travellers that get pulled into the mirror!verse can leave and return to reality one of three ways:
  1. Waiting patiently! Their friends outside in the real world will come for them eventually, right? ... Right?
  2. Reaching nirvana! Okay, not literally, but by coming to terms with themselves, each other, and circumstances, they will break through Thiazi's spell and be returned to Asgard. The key to this is acceptance and overcoming any unresolved issues floating around. Characters that leave this way will find themselves suddenly in the exact same position in the real Asgard that was reflected in the mirror!verse. For example: someone in the mirror!verse library apologising to their best friend for lying about stealing the cookie from the cookie jar ( their greatest sin, obv. ) will blink and find themselves in the real library.
  3. Death! Characters that return by dying in the mirror!verse will revive in the castle by the normal resurrection process.
You may be wondering why death is a possibility here, in which case, you must be new here. We'll get to that in a second; first, a disclaimer that people that fall into the mirror!verse will remain there until they use either the second or third options to return or at the end of the event. Travellers do not have to fall into the mirror!verse the first day to go there. There will be other opportunities for being pulled into the spell!

Immediately, in fact. By evening of Day 360 ( Nov. 22 ), Travellers in the real Asgard will start being dragged physically into the mirror!verse. Passing by a mirror, your reflection will be gnarled and wicked, attempting to reach forward through the glass and pull you to the other side. Shadows will be similarly distorted and monstrous, attempting to crawl up their owners to pull them down to the other side. Various methods like this of reflective surfaces gone bad will start yanking Travellers into the mirror!verse. This dragging of characters will continue until the event's conclusion, so this can happy any day you'd like.We would like at least one post about this from a PC going "Uh, guys, I just saw my friend sucked into a mirror somehow?" We will do a RNG volunteer roll for this first post to kick off the event, but players are by all means still allowed to post themselves afterwards if they'd like to. At night, the blue light will still be glowing strong above Thrymheim.

On Day 361 ( Nov. 23/24 ), things get really crazy. In the mirror!verse, the natives will start to show suspicion and open hostility to the Travellers in direct opposition to the reverence and kindness the real natives give. You are strangers in their homes, monsters from polluted children worlds full of distorted and ugly magic. They will attack the Travellers openly, throwing stones and trying to chase them away. Killing these mirror!natives will only provide a temporary respite, as they're not real and will respawn after a few minutes to an hour. While all of this is happening, dust seems to trickle down from the sky at random intervals, almost as though the mirror!verse is in a box and someone or something is shaking it.

Meanwhile, in the real Asgard, Bad Decision #3. Unaware of Thiazi's current ploy, Surt sends a fleet of Fire Giants into the city to attack the Travellers. While ordinarily, this would be a trite and cliche repeat of the last two years, Thiazi's spell is still in effect. Travellers are still being pulled into the mirror!verse and now a battle is waging on top of it. At some point during this battle, someone will accidentally stumble upon the host for Thiazi's spell: a small mirror of ice left where the ravens were circling that first day. The mirror will be destroyed and everyone within a few feet of the mirror will be swallowed into the mirror!verse by a violent surge of magic that clings to the living creatures around them. This means the Fire Giants will fall into the mirror!verse too. No pets or other animals but the Travellers and Giants alike will find themselves in the exact same position reflected in the mirror!verse. We aren't limiting who gets sucked in this way, so feel free to use this if you'd like to! The light above the Arby's Thrymheim can still be seen glowing at night, though it will flicker once if anyone is paying enough attention to catch it.

By Day 362 ( Nov. 25/26 ), things in the mirror!verse have gone from bad to worse. Now not only are the natives attacking them, but the Giants that fall into the spell are too stupid to realise they're in danger and will blame their predicament on the Travellers. They'll continue their attacking inside the mirror!verse under the belief that killing the Travellers will set them free. While all this is happening, dust continues to sporadically fall and the "ceiling" of the box starts to splinter with large cracks forming across the sky.

Up above in the real Asgard, Thiazi will post to the network to taunt the Travellers of this, her latest catastrophe, but she will be interrupted by Surt appearing to have a bit of a domestic over their conflicting attacks. This will reveal to the Travellers still topside that their friends are stuck in a spell with a bunch of Fire Giants that are angry and confused. What could possibly go wrong? The Fire Giants still in the city will continue attacking as well, though some of them may bow out of the city in fear of the Ice Witch's magic, and with good reason as more mirrors break and more people are dropped into the mirror!verse. Again, we won't limit how many times this happens or where, so you can feel free to plot with people and have it happen in various places across the city. The beacon of light above Thrymheim will be visibly flickering unstably at night, the sign of Thiazi's spell straining.

On Day 363 ( Nov. 27/28 ), Bad Decisions #4 and #5 come parading down the street wearing silly hats and waving banners. Thiazi, in a fit of rage, sends a fleet of her own Frost Giants to attack Surt's Fire Giants inside Asgard. The two will duke it out in the streets, vaguely attacking the Travellers as an afterthought and casting more and more Giants into the mirror!verse.

This makes the mirror!verse a hundred times more unstable, and the careful illusion of a functional mirror!Asgard starts to collapse in on itself. The colours will blow out of proportion in random places, some appearing like overexposed photos while others fall into black and white or sepia, or a mixture of anything and everything in between. The truth compulsion wears off for some, while other start to feel compelled even further to profess their secrets to anyone that will listen. WARNING FOR VIOLENT/BLOODY IMAGERY: Those that had their canon abilities return will start to suffer the deaths that other Travellers experienced during the Proving a Point event: those with physical abilities ( super strength, transforming, etc ) will feel their bodies be crushed internally until they liquefy, and those with mental abilities ( magic, psychic abilities, etc ) will feel their heads ache to exploding. The sky literally starts falling down like glass panels that shatter upon impact. Anyone caught beneath this raining chaos will be killed, so duck for cover and try to stay alive - or let it crush you and be freed from the madness, that's really up to you.

Until it isn't up to you anymore.

There will be an IC poll that only Travellers in the real Asgard can vote in. One of the gods will post to the network explaining that they've been working on figuring out what exactly Thiazi did and how to stop it, but that things are escalating out of control and they need to act quickly. Travellers will be given three options:
  1. Destroy the mirrors. This will "drop" the spell in a literal sense; that is, it will collapse the spell in on itself and kill everyone inside. The Giants inside will be dead permanently, but the Travellers will be able to revive through the castle as per usual. The counter argument: you're killing everyone, and the people affected don't get a say in it. It would be the cleanest and safest solution, but as with the Bad Moon Rising plot, clean doesn't necessarily mean humane.
  2. Let Surt and Thiazi figure it out. This will involve a lot more quarrelling between the Giants, prolonged entrapment in the mirror!verse, but eventually Thiazi would yield and stop her spell. This would bring all of the Travellers and the Giants back into the city alive. The counter argument: the city will continue to be under attack and destroyed, those in the mirror!verse will continue to suffer until it's done, and it involves counting on the Giants to do The Right Thing. It also brings the Giants back into the city, leaving them to continue the battle in the real Asgard. It takes the weight of those deaths off your shoulders, but inaction can sometimes be as harmful as action.
  3. Relying on the gods. This will involve dropping one of the gods into the mirror!verse to try and break through from within. How exactly this happens will be announced closer towards the event itself after the conclusion of the poll, because we're rude like that. The counter argument: the gods don't know if it will work! They've been trying to figure out what Thiazi did, but her magic is wildly out of control and collapsing in on itself, so there is no guarantee that anyone will survive the attempt - including the god that goes into the mirror!verse. It also involves trusting the gods, which you lot aren't typically keen on, so there's really a lot at stake here.
This poll can be found here because haha what are paid accounts. Remember that only those outside the mirror!verse can vote, so bear this in mind when you plot when and where your characters will be. Also, please try to vote ICly! We're letting your characters choose their own adventure, since you always get to choose for them! The poll will close on Nov. 19.

The last day of this super long ridiculous plot event will be Day 364 ( Nov. 29/30 ), and the conclusion will depend on the player poll! Keep your eyes peeled, we'll make a ton of announcements when the time comes.

And now, a timeline of events for this one because there's a lot happening at once.
In the real Asgard:
Day 359 ( Nov. 19/20 )
  • Ravens circle seemingly random places in the city. Shooting them shatters them into ice.
  • A blue beacon of light can be seen above Thrymheim at night.
Day 360 ( Nov. 21/22 )
  • Travellers wake up to their friends missing. No one knows where they went.
  • Later at night, shadows and reflective surfaces turn volatile and start trying to pull people into the mirror!verse.
  • The light can be seen above Thrymheim.
Day 361 ( Nov. 23/24 )
  • Fire Giants attack the city. It is extremely rude.
  • A mirror is destroyed in the fight, sucking nearby Travellers and Giants alike into the mirror!verse.
  • The light can be seen above Thrymheim.
Day 362 ( Nov. 25/26 )
  • Thiazi and Surt fight on the network, revealing that there is a mirror!verse and there are Travellers and Giants both trapped inside.
  • More mirrors break and more Travellers/Giants drop into the mirror!verse.
  • The light can be seen above Thrymheim; it flickers just once.
Day 363 ( Nov. 27/28 )
  • Frost Giants descend upon Asgard to attack the Fire Giants. The Travellers are caught in the crossfire.
  • One of the gods posts to the network asking what the Travellers want to do to resolve matters.
  • More mirrors break and more Travellers/Giants drop into the mirror!verse.
  • The light can be seen above Thrymheim; it flickers continuously and dims randomly.
Day 364 ( Nov. 29/30 )
  • PROFIT????

In the mirror Asgard:
Day 360 ( Nov. 21/22 )
  • Travellers wake up in a mirror reflection of Asgard where everything is all wrong. No one knows where they are or what happened.
  • More Travellers are pulled into the mirror!verse by their reflections/shadows/etc.
Day 361 ( Nov. 23/24 )
  • The natives turn volatile and start attacking the Travellers.
  • Travellers and Fire Giants appear somewhere in the mirror!verse. Fighting continues.
  • Dust starts falling from the sky in sporadic bursts.
  • More Travellers are pulled into the mirror!verse by their reflections/shadows/etc.
Day 362 ( Nov. 25/26 )
  • The natives and the Fire Giants attack the Travellers. It's unnecessarily rude.
  • More Travellers and Giants appear in the mirror!verse as more mirrors are broken topside.
  • Dust keeps falling in sporadic bursts and cracks start forming in the sky.
  • More Travellers are pulled into the mirror!verse by their reflections/shadows/etc.
Day 363 ( Nov. 27/28 )
  • Frost Giants start appearing in the mirror!verse while fighting Fire Giants. They continue to fight each other and the Travellers get caught in the crossfire.
  • The native, Fire Giants, and Frost Giants all attack the Travellers.
  • Colours distort in strange and erratic ways.
  • Those with their canon abilities start dying violent deaths.
  • The sky starts shattering and falling down onto the people below, killing them on impact.
Day 364 ( Nov. 29/30 )
  • DESPAIR.

EDIT: We've received a ton of questions in regards to characters regaining their abilities and death in the mirror!verse, so I'm gonna try to clear a few things up here real quick!
  • Regaining canon abilities is completely optional! Travellers still will not have their god powers, but you are by no means obligated to give them their canon abilities.
  • This distinction is important because all characters that receive their canon abilities will die on Day 363 if they are still in the mirror!verse. The only way to avoid those gruesome deaths is to either a) find nirvana and return to Asgard, b) kill them before Day 363 by other means, or c) not give them their abilities to start. There is no other means of avoiding this death.
  • On that note, those that die on Day 363 cannot vote in the poll. They can chime in after the matter of the fact, but they won't be there for the poll itself!
  • We can't police how abilities are used extensively because they vary from canon to canon and character to character. We are therefore asking players to be reasonable about the use of canon abilities and try not to go overboard. When in doubt, don't hesitate to ask!

  • Characters that die in this plot will revive normally through the castle within the normal hour.
  • Characters that die in this plot will receive death penalties for each death. Please remember to keep track of your death penalties and contact the mods if this is your third one!
  • There are many, many ways to die in the mirror!verse. A native/Giant/a particularly rude Traveller could kill them, the sky could fall on them, their abilities can kill them, the Travellers topside could vote to kill them, the gods could fail to save them, etc etc. There are so many fun possibilities, I feel like we should start making a bingo card of Deaths In Asgard.
That's it for now, but I'll try to update this if more FAQs come in!
Okay. Okay, I think that's everything. Cries. A million thanks to Lou for the plot suggestion even if we're using it a million years after the fact! If you have questions, and I'm sure they are many, please don't hesitate to ask us in any of the comment headers below. Happy November, guys.

Belle will help out in any way she can during this, so if anybody wants anything with her during that time, hit me up.

Mirror verse

She'll be staying in regular Asgard for the duration of the event. She's new and this will be her first experience with the chaos that comes with the war, so I figure the disappearances and sudden giants all over will be enough of a shock to her system that killing her in mirror!verse seems a little much. That and she's pretty normal and has no real secrets to spill, so she'd just be an ear over there anyway.

If anybody wants to ban together in Asgard once shit starts to hit the fan, I'm all for shoving Belle into that!

Sonya will definitely help in the repair work. After being outside Asgard she'd feel it's the only right thing to do.

Mirror!verse
Honestly, I wasn't sure to put Sonya in this or not. She only has one or two 'powers' in canon and honestly, the death toll would be more at home for her, but since she was already opted out for the last plot, I think I'll stick her out of this one too.

Will certainly be sending Rogue over to the mirror-verse! So if someone wants to have her absorb from them by accident.... >D She will be devastated~

Thalia... Debating. She might.

aaa you might actually be able to help me with something?

I want Charles to cross over to the Mirror Verse and get selective use of his powers back - specifically astral projection, which he doesn't seem to use much in XM:FC and I'd like to do a sort of "how do I turn it off? D:" scenario, since he's been missing his powers so much and he can't get back in his body and oh god the sky is falling!!

Would you be open to Rogue draining him and kickstarting this? Or will draining tiny Prof X be too much for her to deal with? :x

Desmond will be taking part in Bad Descision #1 with the Assassins, and unfortunately after that he might not be able to help out much when it comes to community service. :C It'll break his heart. He'll be getting sent to the mirrorverse or dragged in later by some shadow-sucking action! Communication-wise he's a native (Modern) English speaker, mostly fluent in Italian and Arabic with a shaky grasp of French and an embarrassingly shitty reckoning of Turkish. He usually keeps a notebook and a pen in his backpack though, so expect crappy pictograms if vocal communication can't work.

Desmond doesn't keep a whole lot of secrets, but he does keep his Assassin-ness on the DL, as well as the fact that he's dead back home. :c Family who are in the mirror-verse might get treated to some honesty about his self-doubt following BD1. Powers-wise he'll be getting his Eagle Vision back until he gets sent back to normal!Asgard or the worst happens. Expect him to be in Save All The People mode so if your character needs a hand he'll be too glad to help.

This month is going to suck.

Norrington will be pitching in for community service. He'll be sticking around Asgard for the most part, though he might get sucked in through a mirror as things go to hell, he's had too easy a time of it.

Irving is generally helpful, but he does tend towards the supervisory position. So he'll be involved.

Mirror Verse

He'll be going through both sides of this, starting out in normal Asgard, falling in later, then popping back out because he's relatively chill once the truth is out. (One would think that he'd tell the truth more often knowing this (and he does know this) but this is Brax.) He's not going to die. He'll be keen to avoid death when he can so he'll vote for the gods to go in. Also because this is your responsibility, gods. I'll decide if he's voting depending how my time line works out.

I still owe you a tag - which I apologize for, October got away from me. Would you be interested in having them meet either during the community service part of things or mirror verse, assuming the days you're planning on having him around match up with Jamie's?

She won't help with community service because she could care less about building a city.

But she will care that people are disappearing! I haven't decided yet if she's going through the mirror. She'd have fun playing rescuer instead...hmmm.

Itachi will help out with community service in his own ways until he's pulled into the mirror.

That said, Uchiha/Narutoverse powers in general are kind of EPIC SHOUNEN in level. I do my best to moderate their use and they won't be used against any other player character without permission from the mun. He will be desperately struggling not to spill secrets about himself, because enough of that has happened already. I'm not sure how he'll be sent back, but dying is a very possible option due to the power return.

I'm up for plotting anything else if people are interested.

I'm sorry for being terrible with activity in October. D: (It might continue into this month too, depending on how long it takes for me to find a new job.) But if you'd like, Gaara and Itachi can run into each other doing community service?

I don't think I'll be sending Gaara into the mirror world, but Itachi can run into Akihiko. :D

community service

Booker's more used to... being the one doing the destruction and running away to drown his guilt in alcohol, but he'll go ahead and help out with the clean-up efforts. I imagine he will probably just show up and wait for someone to direct him, and then work until someone says stop!

mirror-verse

I'm still undecided on this? Probably leaning towards keeping him in Asgard, as fun as it would be to chuck him in mirror-verse and have all his deeply buried secrets spilled for the world to hear. So yes, Booker in Asgard and he'll most definitely offer up his assistance in helping defend the group that remains! If anyone wants to work out specific interactions please don't hesitate to say so, I don't know how spontaneously active I'll be around that time. (yay being the shipment processing leader at a retail store during holiday season...)

Leo Valdez and Dirk Strider will both be assisting with fixing up the city. They're both inventors so they'll improve things as the Natives see fit. Leo will finally set up his business since, why not when everything is being renovated? Neither will need directing and if you ask for help they'll assist you!

Mirror verse

What happens when you get a demigod son of Hephaestus into a world where his powers come back? Thatttt's right. Leo will be making all the things he can because his demigod status will be back full force. He'll be capable of speaking English and Spanish. He came from a dual lingual home (his mom) and has a few secrets.

Like the fact that he's planning to go back and rescue the cursed daughter of a titan. There's a bit he needs to settle but he'll be slinging fire when it's needed and building things when it's not. Whether he makes it out of the mirror or not is up to what he encounters.

Henry is definitely going into the mirror!verse. Not at first, but he'll totally start poking any mirror that's acting weird and threatening at him, so it probably won't take very long. :|

And once there he'll have ~canon powers~ which means he'll be hexing the shit out of things. Which is... a somewhat variable ability, able to do things like briefly reverse time, or change bodies, or outright kill things. He's also really good at deflecting curses, if something like that comes up.

But for actual fighting he'll be relying on tomes, which he- actually has a few of, gotten from the apple!event. And now would be usable! Big magicy attacks, basically! So he's going to be fighting and killing as many giants (and aggressive natives) as he can find. Even if he can't properly communicate with anyone outside his world, the language of violence crosses borders~ So he will help anyone who needs it (as long as that help involves slaughtering something). At least he's not flinging frozen cats this time.

And he'll also die horribly from power use. :D And enjoy it.

Ffff so this sounds like awesome fun. I need to have an actual intro post for Alex soon so I might do some kind of log for him helping out with rebuilding stuff around the city, or maybe comment on ravens later on in the month on the network? We'll see how it pans out.

As for the mirrorverse event, I'm having him get sucked it, and definitely having his canon powers come back (meaning he'll be a walking plasma bomb again), and maybe have secrets slip or something? He's responsible for his foster sister's death as well as a few other people (all my power accidents, but still plenty of guilt over it), which are things he'd basically never ever ever be telling anyone ever, but it could slip sometime during this?

Other than that, I'll just be seeing how stuff goes and trying to get him out and around and making CR, as he's still really new. :3 Let's plot.

Alice + Clare

[personal profile] digophelia 2013-11-02 03:26 am (UTC)(link)
I actually really have to think the mirror!verse thing over, because ngl, there are some elements to it that are triggering for me. So if you got CR with Alice, lemme know. Otherwise, I may or may not have her opt out and just sit out the event. I really haven't decided, but there's a large possibility some of these elements may be a bit much for me aslkfjsdfs although don't let that stop you. SO.

It's in Clare and Alice's natures to help out others and engage in things as well. Clare is far more level headed (lawl) than Alice and Clare is honestly more mentally sound than Alice.

Ril Plotting

[personal profile] sheloves 2013-11-04 01:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Days 351-353: ( Nov. 4-8)
Ril's not going to be doing much of anything, considering she's got a cold and should actually rest. Like. Really rest. As in not fake it. She wants to do things. She'll just ride it out like you do.

Day 360 ( Nov. 21 )
Ril will be hijacked from bed to the Mirrorverse. This will so not be pleasant and she may need some serious help. As she's a telepath, that'll be reactivated as well as her telekinesis...and she's not going to react well to Six not being there.

Blah blah plot for rest goes here? I want her to die before her head explodes, m'kay? And I totally want her to use telekinesis as as a shield for way long than she really should. And...show off her fighting skills. Things. Lots of things.

Like her castmates Naoto is gonna be thrown into the TV into the mirror! i haven't entirely figured out the specifics yet but yeah......... definitely open for plotting and stuff. she has Issues about her gender, gender roles and self esteem so that'll be fun to deal with in the mirrorverse. and i guess as a general warning her "shadow" side wants to experiment on/dismember on people a lot. that might come into play.

free for plotting for this event! she probably won't get involved in the community service part unless someone asks for her help/drags her into/etc.

Matsuri Kudo-

[personal profile] lookingfordragon 2013-11-05 01:33 am (UTC)(link)
During the community service Matsuri's going to be helping move stuff and cleaning.

Mirror world
She'll be going to the mirror world one either day 360 or 361 not sure yet.
As far as languages go shes speaks Japanese, but she is from sometime around the late 1800s so she might not understand everything, she knows a few English words but not enough to have a conversation.

Because Matsuri is a shinigami she'll be a ghost in the mirror world, so only characters that can see ghosts/sprites in their cannon will be able to see her. Matsuri won't be able to interact with objects/people without using energy. Which is prone to blowing stuff up especially if used on living-things, so she won't do that unless fighting. Similarly attacks that have anything to do with magic in can hit her. Any spells and the flames that occasionally appear from her sword will be visible.

Shes probably going to die during the event, shes had a lot of close calls so far...

Mini plotting Because Matsuri is invisible but vulnerable to magic if you want to hit her by accident just let me know.

Six will be headed into mirrorverse! Though not on the first day, so we can have lovely angst while he panics about Ril being gone, yay. I'm not sure exactly when but it won't be too very long because we're not that cruel >_> Six speaks just about every language ever at least in his own universe, so he could be useful for translation purposes. He's also mildly psychic! So he may be able to help out with other psychic characters, if we need a mental bond thing though most of that is going to be taken up with making sure Ril stays stable, tbh. He may be able to be of some use in fights, making traps and such if he finds materials/he can make one big enough to affect a giant. Since he doesn't have any secrets that are particularly stressful/interesting to anyone, chances are he'll die of a debilitating headache on day 363. Fun times.

Ummmmmmm other than that... to allow me to deal with RL and catch up, he's caught a mild cold! So he won't be around much, depending on my free time. Just hanging around in bed with Ril and his cat. Yeah.

Oh and the mods love me and so when he comes back from death, he'll keep his two hearts, which he of course will get back in the mirrorverse. :D

natasha will be in regular asgard for mirror verse, and i'm on hiatus for the moment. she'll be around helping people as she can and generally prodding people in the 'right' direction (as she sees fit) - she wants the mirrors to be broken. psyches are easy to fix. dead gods aren't easy to kill. but she's wavering, she's not 100% sure of herself and she knows how hard it is to be killed and what that does to a person psychologically, regardless of the knowledge of knowing that you will come back. it's damning. if that option doesn't win the vote, she'll be a bit relieved.

Loki will end up in mirror!Asgard, he'll have no powers (since canonly he only has his brain) and will probably make a sport out of running away from the angry travellers.

I actually wanted to do two things during this event and I hope there are people who I could plot along with. It would be interesting to form somekind of group that work to set out traps?

Well, a death is also kind of something I'd like to do, so pls if you feel like doing any of this, that would be supergrand! <3

[personal profile] ex_outofcontrol435 2013-11-05 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I can provide death! Pyro will be completely high on getting his power back, so if Loki tried to get in the way of his destruction or slaughter of the mirror!natives when they get mean, he could definitely go too far.

JESUS CHRIST FAITH I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU MADE ME READ ALL THAT no jk i love you

ANYWAY. Jo's gonna be sticking to the real world. The Roadhouse suffered some gnarly damage which she is not happy about. Beyond that, she's got some giants to kill, bitches. LET'S DO THIS SHIT. She's also going to be very 'why the hell should we even be considering trusting the gods DO YOU PEOPLE SEE WHAT THEY'VE DONE C'MON NOW' when it comes to the poll, so that'll be fun. c:

And on the other hand, James is probably going to be sucked into the mirror!verse around day 361 when the mirror's destroyed and it sucks any and everything inside. Which means a) hell yeah powers and b) holy merlin's beard voldemort has his powers oh shi- but he's going to be in major need to save everyone mode thanks to the whole giants attacking asgard bit and will probably die a very painful death thanks to his magics.

I really want to get both these kids involved in this plot so if you wanna start up cr or work on old cr or do basically anything, LET ME KNOW. C:

While Ninian will be as involved as she can in the clean-up, I still haven't decided whether to throw her in the Mirror World or not. This is because her getting her powers back in Mirror!Asgard might involve a really big spoiler that could be... complicated to handle (read: it might involve some HUGE power levels related to her origins); so unless I find a way to get around that, I'll have her staying at home.

Since she's at least staying around for the community service, you're welcome to poke me here for CR about these days!
